Welcome to IASC

An MFA member association which caters for amateur footballers spread over teams in different Maltese localities and which is contributing to the welfare of local football through its competitions is the Inter Amateur Soccer Competition, familiarly known as the IASC. The IASC association complements the work of the parent body, the MFA, when holding its competitions. While professional football, albeit on a relative basis here in Malta, is under the aegis of the MFA, the amateurs can indulge in their favourite game thanks to the IASC, founded in 1959 by the late Paul Borg Inguanez and assisted by the late Saviour Privitera. Despite some differences which cropped up between the two associations, these were only momentary, and now the relationship is as strong as ever. The aim is to foster and promote the amateur game in the different localities of our country. The IASC is certainly helping in no small way to further the ideals of amateur football in our country.
